The Jewish Film Institute (JFI) announced today that the 39th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (SFJFF) will open on Thursday, July 18th at the Castro Theatre. Early Bird Festival Passes will be on sale beginning Thursday May 16, 2019 at 10:00 am. Passes will be exclusively available at sfjff.org/early-bird.

The Award, presented annually at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival since 2005, honors the unfettered imagination, which is the cornerstone of a just, free and open society. Past recipients include Norman Lear, Kirk Douglas, Liz Garbus and Lee Grant.
