Love

Sasha is obsessed with sex. But even the wisdom of his roué friend Vadim cannot save him from his shyness and discomfort around women. When he meets Masha, a beautiful young Jewish woman, Sasha discovers his own capacity to love. He becomes caught up in the drama of her family, vigilantly attempting to protect them from the violent threats of an anti-Semitic caller. Together, he and Masha overcome their own fears, even in a context of hatred, and they learn that sex and love do sometimes converge. Director Todorovsky boldly tackles issues usually not discussed in closed Russian society.
