The Visitor

Leon Stein is a young Israeli traveler on a train ride to the twilight zone that is the united Germany of the future. Disembarking at an underground station, Leon encounters a colorful but ominous array of anarchist musicians, chess-playing hobos, prostitutes, skinheads, and black-coated police. As he wanders through corridors looking for a way out, he is reminded "you can't get away from the past." In this surreal world of carnivals, interrogations, and rebellions, Leon finds Almuth, a mysterious woman who leads him to safety. A compelling vision of Jewish alienation in post-unification Germany.
