Legendary San Francisco filmmmaker George Kuchar’s low-budget video pays homage to the comic-strip artist Ben Katchor. A visit with Katchor, creator of The Jew of New York ; Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer and Cardboard Valise, in his downtown Manhattan studio is juxtaposed with an irreverent excursion through a comic art exhibit in Oakland.
