Moos

Dramas and romances swirl around the life of Moos, an awkward single gal, still looking for love and independence in her hometown in the Netherlands while she works at her family’s fabric shop. Since her mother’s death, she has devoted the last seven years to caring for her father instead of moving forward in her own life. She never follows the endless meddling advice of her family, but she just might listen to her childhood best friend, Sam, when he returns home for Hannukah after 15 years away in Israel. Moos knows it’s time to strike out on her own, and perhaps impress him, by pursuing her secret dream to attend theater school. Before she knows it, Moos is involved in a Goliath-sized lie with her sexy new voice teacher. But a budding romance with Sam might blow everything up just when it is all starting to come together. Moos seeks her own path, but doesn’t want to disappoint family and friends. Will she ever find love in all the right places and finally find the strength to follow her dreams? Featuring a soundtrack of current Israeli hit songs and a special appearance by Asaf Hertz, Moos is a heartwarming tale about a young woman’s quest to find her own voice. —Maya Lekach
